On July 27, members of the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Ivy Knolls Park, where there was a graffiti complaint. Upon arrival, officers found that the park had been vandalized overnight, leading to an investigation.

Officers from the Patrol and Detective Divisions began the investigation, which led to the arrest of three minors, two boys and a girl, all 14 years old, who were taken into custody between July 31 and Aug. 6. Two teens are from Mohegan Lake, the third is from Cortlandt Manor.

Each of the three was charged with juvenile delinquency, a misdemeanor. After being processed, they were released to the custody of their parents and are due back in court later this month to answer the charges against them.
